Please join me on Sunday, November 15th from 4-5 PM for an afternoon of Yoga Nidra Healing and Renewal. This is a guided relaxation practice that will be taught on Zoom. No prior yoga experience is required. Cost of the class is $10. 100% of all proceeds will go to the Pittsburgh Food Bank.
Setting aside time to rest and unplug is vital for our well-being especially in these challenging times. Yoga Nidra is a method of systematic relaxation that aims to create physical, mental and emotional ease through a series of simple guided techniques.
Let's help those in need and at the same time help ourselves through this calming practice.
This class will be using a special Zoom link. The "one time" link will be emailed separately upon receipt of purchase.
I'm excited to announce the launch of my monthly subscription program. You can now sign up for the monthly program and receive all twelve of the classes that I taught the previous month. Each month when your subscription renews you’ll get fresh new content. Now you can have your yoga practice fit YOUR schedule. Watch them and practice as many times as you like! Want more info? Check out the FAQs below.
What is the monthly subscription program? Pre-recorded Janet Tant yoga classes in a variety of styles.
What is my commitment? Cost is $20/month. You will be billed monthly for the program. Classes will be available to access for a 30-day period. At the end of those 30 days the current inventory will expire and a new inventory of classes will automatically be sent to you. This recurring program can be cancelled at any time.
How do I sign up? Simply click HERE to register.
What if I already participate in your live stream classes? Can I still do the monthly subscription program? Absolutely. Many students have expressed the desire to do both. The beauty of the monthly subscription is that you can practice on the days and times when the live stream is not offered. Your yoga to fit your schedule!
Do I have to sign up by a certain date? Nope. You can register for this recurring program at any time. If you sign up at the end of a month cycle you may have new inventory made available again in a week or two.
How will I receive the classes? Within 24 hours of your purchase you’ll receive a welcome email and your inventory of classes. Classes will be delivered to your email in a Google Drive folder. Be sure to watch the “Welcome Video” for tips and suggestions to help you get the most out of these classes.

All Janet Tant Yoga classes will be going on hiatus soon. I will continue my live stream schedule through July 3. Beginning the week of July 6 all classes will be on summer break. Classes will resume in September. Be safe and be well!
Live stream schedule thru July 3

1:15- 2:30 PM Friday Moving Meditation - a gentle practice with simple stretching and breathing
All Janet Tant Yoga classes will begin live streaming on Zoom. Go here for class schedule and to register. When you make an online purchase the Zoom link will be at the top of your confirmation receipt. For first time users to Zoom, please allow time to register in advance before class time. You should be able to just click the class link to start your class, but go here to get fully signed up for Zoom on your computer or device. Once you have joined, place your cursor at the bottom of your Zoom window and notice the controls. Join with video and audio and make sure your volume is unmuted so we can begin with a check in. I recommend that the device you are using is plugged in. I’ve noticed that live-streaming depletes battery power quickly. Also I would close all other tabs in your internet browser for this live stream session as it will help to speed processing time. If you run into a tech problem during the session I recommend logging out and closing the Zoom program and then rejoining the session; if that doesn't work, you may need to restart your device. Please know that these problems are rare but nice to know a few tech tips in advance!
Prepare your yoga space about 10 minutes before class and position yourself at least 6-8 feet from your viewing device with the camera facing the long edge of your mat. Pick a spot where you will have adequate room for floor stretching and standing poses. Collect your props before class. We will be using a yoga mat, but you might also want a yoga blanket, a strap and a block. Check out this video for yoga prop substitutions. For final relaxation you can use a pillow for your head, a pillow for under your knees and a covering for the eyes.
When you enter the meeting I will have everybody unmuted. I would like to invite you to leave your camera on during class however if you would prefer your camera to be off, please feel free to make that adjustment on your screen. We’ll start with a quick check-in. Once the class begins I will mute participants and “pin” myself as the presenter. I will still be able to see each of you if your camera is on and will offer alignment cues as necessary but you will see and hear only me. Please know that you can unmute yourself at any time if you need to ask a question.
Of course we'll be doing a Savasana at the end of class. Since you're at home allow yourself to be as comfortable as possible for this final resting pose. Once the class is over I will allow about a minute of silence for people that need to leave the meeting. After that I will keep the meeting open for anyone that wants to stay and chat. I just ask that we have a minute or so of silence after our final Namaste.
All of my classes will be cancelled until further notice. We are all riding this out together and are figuring new ways to connect. You can practice with me on my YouTube channel here. I look forward to seeing there. In the meantime, know that we stay connected through our hearts and our breath. Sending you a virtual hug. Stay safe.
I miss our time together in yoga classes. But I have the next best thing....my YouTube channel is up and running. You can subscribe here. I have several classes posted with more to come. While I would much rather see your smiling faces in person, this is the best alternative for now. I have videos styled after the specific classes that I teach. There are several other practices that will address anxiety and tension. If there is a special class or practice that you would like, please let me know and I will try my best to accommodate your request. Join me online and let’s practice together!
In an effort to “Flatten the Curve” I am following the lead of the Mount Lebanon Township and School District and I will be canceling all Janet Tant Yoga classes effective immediately. This cancellation will include Monday Evening Slow Flow, Tuesday & Friday Moving Meditation and Tuesday & Friday Vinyasa Afternoon Flow. This cancellation will run through April 10th with the possibility of classes resuming the week of April 13th. As you all know this is an ever unfolding situation so we don't know the exact return date of classes. Rest assured friends that as soon as it is safe for classes to resume, we will be back on the mat again. We will get through this by working together and supporting each other during these extraordinary times. I'm looking into offering some yoga practices online and will keep you posted as that evolves. In the meantime...keep calm and keep breathing,
Love & Blessings,
Janet
